Meet the thinkers shaping our world: the British Academy announces Summer Showcase 2023

The British Academy’s Summer Showcase will return this year in the form of a special one-day festival for the public bringing together leading lights from across the SHAPE disciplines (the Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts for People and the Economy) and big names from the cultural sphere.

Join us on Saturday 17 June as we throw open the doors to our home at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace for our annual festival of ideas for curious minds. Meet the thinkers shaping our world through their pioneering research and enjoy a jam-packed programme of pop-up talks, performances, film screenings, panel discussions and workshops.

Visitors will have the chance to see inside this Nash-designed, Grade I-listed building overlooking the Mall and St James's Park and learn more about a major construction programme set to transform the lower floors into a state-of-the-art events space.

The British Academy Summer Showcase will be free for all to attend. The full Summer Showcase programme, as well as details on how to sign up, will be announced later this Spring.
