British Academy welcomes prospect of Horizon Association following Government’s Windsor Framework proposal

The British Academy welcomes a renewed push for Horizon Association following the Government’s Windsor Framework proposal.

Professor Julia Black, President of the British Academy, said: 

“The British Academy welcomes that the agreement reached by the UK and EU regarding the Windsor Framework opens the door for the UK’s association to the Horizon Europe programme.

“Horizon Europe is the premier internationally collaborative research programme in the world and association to it is essential for the UK’s research and innovation goals. It has thus been a particular pleasure for the Academy to welcome the European Research Council’s President to London today.

“With the significant progress achieved in recent days, we continue to put our full weight behind efforts to ensure that the best possible outcome - association to Horizon Europe - will swiftly be achieved for the UK's research community and for the SHAPE disciplines we represent.”
