The British Academy is committed to advancing equitable partnerships in international research collaboration. As the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences, we recognise the importance of fostering research partnerships that promote mutual benefit, respect, and fairness. Our work aligns with broader efforts by UK and international research bodies to embed equity in research practices.

Equitable Partnership in International Collaboration (EqPIC) – a Call to Action

The First Conference on Equitable Partnerships hosted by the British Academy in February 2025 brought together participants of five global workshops on equitable partnerships in international research collaborations. We identified pathways that all stakeholder groups can and should be taking towards equitability.
