Evaluation of the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship Scheme
Project Description
The British Academy has commissioned the Careers Research and Advisory Centre (CRAC) to perform an impact and process evaluation of the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowships Scheme. This is part of the Academy’s wider monitoring and evaluation programme, designed to provide evidence that will be used to understand and demonstrate the impact of its funding in academia and society, and inform development of funding programmes in the future.
The evaluation encompasses applicants and recipients of the Mid-Career Fellowship (MCF) between 2018-2024.
The research stage of the evaluation has now been completed and the project is currently going through internal governance processes.
A report summarising the findings of the evaluation will be published in summer 2026.
