Evaluation of the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship Scheme

Project Description

The British Academy has commissioned the Careers Research and Advisory Centre (CRAC) to perform an impact and process evaluation of the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowships Scheme. This is part of the Academy’s wider monitoring and evaluation programme, designed to provide evidence that will be used to understand and demonstrate the impact of its funding in academia and society, and inform development of funding programmes in the future.

The evaluation will encompass applicants and recipients of the Mid-Career Fellowship (MCF) between 2018-2024.

The British Academy will send out a communication in April 2025 to previous applicants and recipients of these awards to alert key individuals of the evaluation and to expect a survey link soon. This communication will invite correction or updating of any contact details but also offer the opportunity for individuals to opt out of the evaluation and communications around it if they so wish.

Anyone who thinks they are relevant to this study, having held one of the awards in question, but who has not heard from us by early May 2025 is very welcome to get in touch directly via [email protected] and we will follow up with them.

British Academy Lead: Kanekwa Nzimba, Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Lead
