Political geography – focusing on the role of institutions, the spatiality of governance bodies (including questions of localism, place-based policy, levelling up, regional policy/political-economy), and the importance of democratic culture, community organising and public engagement; Sustainability with a focus on nature recovery, biodiversity investment, environmental policy around land management/farming, and the role of local government and institutional leadership in this policy area; Relating to my current employment in Cornwall, connecting to the history, culture, politics and institutional fabric of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
