British Accounting and Finance Association

The British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), formerly the British Accounting Association, was established in 1947 and is the main UK learned society which brings together academics interested in teaching and research in accounting and finance.

BAFA's vision is to be:

  • a vibrant association of choice for accounting and finance academics;
  • the voice and resource of the accounting and finance community;
  • a campaigner for accounting and finance research and pedagogy.

We promote the development of innovative approaches to research and teaching in accounting and finance, and celebrate the breadth and diversity of research by UK and international researchers.

The Future of the Corporation programme and Small Research Grants scheme help address important societal and governance challenges as well as encourage innovative research endeavours. BAFA is delighted to be able to support the projects associated to these two schemes.

Professor Teerooven Soobaroyen, BAFA President
