Summary

The focus of this report is sociology, social policy, politics and international studies and related disciplines (such as organisation studies, management, education, communications studies). It does not cover economics and experimental psychology given that the approach to teaching in both these disciplines is rather different, both in the UK and elsewhere, so that quantitative skills are generally well developed in degree programmes.
