Bringing History and Archaeology Together

The disciplinary focus of these workshops will be on history and archaeology, with a leaning towards the medieval / early modern period and maritime history, enabling a broad range of researchers to benefit from a discussion across traditional departmental, chronological and disciplinary boundaries. The workshops will provide researchers in Turkey with an opportunity to engage directly in the dialogic process of peer review, with support and encouragement from the UK workshop leaders. Participants will also have the opportunity to identify and apply for a collaborative funding award with other members of the workshop, thereby building long-term connections, as well as gaining experience of writing funding applications to UK and other western funding bodies.
