This writing workshop responds to requests from early career researchers at Jijel University during a 2018 international conference on “Local Social Capital” bringing together academics from across Algeria. It seeks to address how to overcome language divisions between Arabic and Anglophone academia in light of significant advances in English in Algerian universities, particularly outside the capital. It aims to create a sustainable network of peer support and be a model which could be implemented more widely.
