Building on the previously funded workshop Sustainable Futures in Writing (2021-22), this project aims to further support the career advancement of an alumni cohort of up to 15 ECRs from the social sciences and arts and humanities working on sustainability research in low- and middle-income countries. Publishing capacity and professional skills will be increased for participants through tailored development workshops and one-to-one mentoring by selected journal editors. Facilitated networking sessions will be designed to result in tangible collaborations e.g. conference panels, co-authored papers, research seminars. Active connection to the wider Sustainable Futures Global Network will enable the ECRs to build their academic profile by showcasing their research to international audiences. Costs associated with conference travel and open access publication will be covered by the project.

Workshop Team: Dr Zoe Strachan, University of Glasgow; Dr Twine Bananuka, Makerere University; Professor Mia Perry, University of Glasgow.
