These workshops, convened by a team from Argentina and the UK, will bring together 15 Latin American early career researchers from ODA-eligible countries and 5 international mentors in the field of geography to provide a training programme for publishing in international journals. The workshops will generate lasting outputs that will exceed the immediate beneficiaries, through the UK Royal Geographical Society hosting online guidance, a journal forum and ongoing collaboration towards greater support for non-Anglophone geographers. The workshop will take place in Córdoba, Argentina, in December 2021 immediately after the main regional Geography conference (EGAL). early career researchers, all based in Latin America, will be allocated mentors - current editors of international journals - and will meet before, during and after the workshop. In addition to the core focus of publishing strategies, the workshop includes discussion and advice on applying for international grants.

Workshop Team: Dr Sam Halvorsen, Queen Mary University of London; Dr Mariana Beatriz Arzeno, National Council of Scientific and Technical Research, Argentina; Dr Monica Farias, University of Buenos Aires; Dr Luciana Buffalo, Córdoba University; Dr Lucas Palladino, Córdoba University
