Dr Adamova's research explores how books on sacred history were read and interpreted in Reformation England. Relying on the marginal comments left in these books by early modern readers and especially focusing on the heavily annotated copies of the Nuremberg Chronicle preserved in Manchester's libraries, Dr Adamova’s project examines the impact of ‘sacra historia’ on early modern readers and investigates early modern reading practices.

Throughout her time at Manchester Metropolitan University, Dr Adamova is mentored by Dr Rosamund Oates, a distinguished expert in early modern reading and puritan culture.
