Professor Phaik Yeong Cheah’s co-leads the Just Transitions for AMR programme with Professor Sonia Lewycka. Her work is in the fields of bioethics and engagement and for this programme, she will bring her skills in facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues to co-create potential policies and solutions as well as lead enquiries into ethical issues that need to be considered in designing interventions to mitigate AMR, especially in low-income and middle-income countries.
Specific projects:
- Just Transitions specifically related to antimalarial resistance (with early career researcher, Dr Tess Johnson)
- Responsive dialogues on AMR in South Africa with Professor Marina Joubert (consulting on multi-stakeholder dialogues)
