International publications and networks are essential for career development; severe cuts in science, structural inequalities, and language barriers, however, have had profound implications on Brazilian researchers’ ability to publish with international academic presses and access global networks. We propose a workshop to promote the professional development of emerging political science scholars from Brazil. The programme seeks to mitigate gender, racial, and regional inequalities and will be carried out in collaboration with the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Through skills training and close mentorship, we expect that at the end of the programme, participants will: 1) have a better understanding of the publication process and feel more prepared to write papers for submission in international journals independently; 2) know about relevant international funding schemes and know-how on how to apply for them successfully; 3) have access to international networks of established scholars.
