International Political Sociology: Transversal Writing and Publishing

These writing workshops will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in July 2020. It is organised by Queen Mary University of London and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, two academic institutions that have collaborated in the area of International Relations since 2015. The workshop is integrated as a main activity of the International Political Sociology Winter School, organised annually by the International Relations Institute of PUC-Rio. It is targeted at early career scholars from Brazil and neighbouring countries from Latin America.

The workshop will aim at building writing skills and enhance publications output in international scientific journals by early career scholars from the Global South. To achieve these goals it will offer seminars, working sessions and tutorials in creative academic writing, grant application writing, comparative cultures and styles of writing, writing for publishing skills, publishing strategies and collaborative writing and networking.
