Violence against women and children are global development and human rights issues, with two sustainable development goals calling for their elimination. A lack of dialogue between violence against women and violence against children researchers has led to siloed approaches in tackling both forms of violence. This writing workshop will not only support early career researchers in Tanzania to publish high quality research outputs but is also an opportunity to build a network of future researchers who can cross disciplinary boundaries and co-develop a joint research agenda. Muhimbili University, the National Institute for Medical Research Mwanza, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine will jointly lead a one-week virtual seminar and two in-person workshops in Dar es Salaam, focused on journal article writing and policy brief development with early career researchers from or based in Tanzania, working on eliminating violence against women and children.

Workshop Team: Professor Heidi Stoeckl, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; Mr Samuel Likindikoki, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences; Dr Gerry Mshana, National Institute of Medical Research, Tanzania
