These hands-on writing workshops will support early career researchers in Brazil to develop the skills and confidence to write critically and creatively about design, and its contexts for international academic journals and funding providers. The workshops will be led by expert teams from the UK (University of Brighton) and Brazil (University of São Paulo) who are specialists in producing and supporting design writing in a range of forms, which will provide the training and tools necessary for emerging early career researchers to develop quality submissions to leading English-language journals in the field. The workshops will include presentations and peer review from editors of the Journal of Design History, Design Studies, Design Journal and Journal of Modern Craft, and design writing which will equip the next generation of Brazilian early career researchers with the necessary networks, platforms, and techniques to advance their academic careers in the field of design.
