Programme recorded at the British Academy to be broadcast by Radio 3
24 Nov 2014
Radio 3 is set to broadcast five essays on the theme of voice and radio, recorded in front of an audience at the British Academy in October 2014, to celebrate the Dylan Thomas Centenary. Made as part of The Essay series, the first of five programmes will be broadcast tonight at 10.45pm. It will feature actor Samuel West exploring the art of performance and declarative language.
Subsequent essays from the British Academy come from veteran Irish broadcaster Olivia O'Leary, Professor of Media David Hendy, Radio Merseyside's phone-in host Roger Phillips and Radio 4's Fi Glover - all sharing their varied perspectives on the art of radio.
