President of the British Academy welcomes UKRI Board members

Commenting on UK Research and Innovation’s non-executive Board members announced today, President of the British Academy, Professor Sir David Cannadine, said:

“The wealth of expertise of UKRI’s Board members will be vital to shape the direction of the organisation at a time when the UK needs to harness its strengths in research and innovation.

“I would like to congratulate in particular Fellows of the British Academy Professor Sir Ian Diamond and Professor Julia Black on their appointment to the Board. They will be champions for the contribution of the humanities and social sciences to UK research.”
