Daniel Lee, Joe Moshenska and Kylie Murray recognised as New Generation Thinkers 2015

BBC Radio 3 and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) have unveiled the 10 academics - and their research - who will be New Generation Thinkers 2015. Three of the winners have received funding from the British Academy:

• Dr Daniel Lee, University of Oxford, received a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to fund his research into the experiences of Jews in French North Africa during the Second World War;


• Dr Joe Moshenska, University of Cambridge, received a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant to fund his research on the 17th-century figure of Sir Kenelm Digby, a charismatic polymath whose wide interests brought him into contact with the great thinkers of his age;


• Dr Kylie Murray, University of Oxford, received a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship to fund her exploration of the previously overlooked responses of Scottish kings, poets, chroniclers and teacher to Boethius' 'Consolation'.

The New Generation Thinkers 2015 is a nationwide search for the brightest minds who have the potential to share their exciting academic ideas through radio and television. The winners will spend one year working with Radio 3 presenters and producers to develop their ideas into broadcasts.
