British Academy President speaks at British School at Rome

Lord Stern, President of the British Academy will speak today at the British School at Rome on his new bookWhy Are We Waiting? The Logic, Urgency and Promise of Tackling Climate Change. 


His lecture will be part of an event called Climate change and sustainability: the UK and Expo Milano 2015. This event will begin with a presentation by Wolfgang Buttress on his award-winning design for the UK pavilion at Expo Milano, the Hive. 


Following his lecture in Rome, Lord Stern will lecture in Florence, and conclude his Italian tour by presiding over a roundtable discussion in Milan as part of the programme of events for this year’s Expo on the theme of Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.


Lord Stern will also be speaking at the Royal Society in London on Energy and the Environment on 24 November, as part of the British Academy’s series of Debates on Energy and the Environment.
