The Nayef Al-Rodhan Prize for Transcultural Understanding is the Academy’s most valuable prize, and will be awarded annually at least until 2017. At a ceremony held at the British Academy on 4 July 2013, the inaugural Nayef Al-Rodhan Prize was awarded to Karen Armstrong – in recognition of her body of work that has made a significant contribution to inter-faith understanding.
