Summary

Professor Liz Fisher, BA/LLB (UNSW), D Phil (Oxon) is Professor of Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law and Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. Originally from Australia, the focus of her scholarship and teaching is on administrative and environmental law in national jurisdictions with a specific focus on the UK, US, and Australia.

She also writes and researches on the nature of legal scholarship. Fisher has served in a number of editorial roles including as General Editor of the 'Oxford Journal of Legal Studies' from 2021-2025 and General Editor of the 'Journal of Environmental Law' from 2012 to 2022. 

She is a Non-Executive Board Member of the Office for Environmental Protection and an Overseas Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. She has won awards for both teaching and scholarship.
