Sarah Tryphena Phillips Lectures in American Literature and History

This lecture series was endowed by the Ellis L Phillips Foundation. The lecture was first delivered in 1961. A symposium was held in 2017. In 2018 it was agreed that henceforth the lecture fund should be used to support America-themed events in the British Academy Conferences programme.
