Breton Day: Breton Ballads

This event is part of the British Academy's season on Identities & Belonging


Mary-Ann Constantine and Éva Guillorel, co-authors of Miracles & Murders: An Introductory Anthology of Breton Ballads, will be taking part in The Morrab Library’s ‘Breton Day’. 


From 2-3pm, Mary-Ann will explore the rich history of Breton ballads with live musical illustrations. Following this, Éva will give the keynote speech in a panel discussion on popular culture in Brittany and Cornwall. A concert of Breton-Cornish traditional music will bring the day of celebrations to a close.

Afternoon sessions: £4 each or £6 for both events (Morrab Library members FREE)
