Dr Yu Dong

Yu Dong is based at the Institute of Cultural Heritage, Shandong University, China. For the duration of her Visiting Fellowship she is hosted by the University of Oxford.

Dr Dong will be lab training in plant isotope analysis with Professor Amy Bogaard. She will be learning how this method has been applied and how the data is being interpreted in other parts of the world, eg Southwest Asia and Europe.


With this training, Dr. Dong will be able to apply these methods to the study of Neolithic and Bronze Age China in order to answer key questions about early agriculture in East Asia.
