British Academy Law Lectures
This lecture series was established at the suggestion of the Academy’s Law Section. The lecture is intended to be on any legal subject other than jurisprudence, where relevant with an eye on practical policy issues. The lecture was first delivered in 2004.

Maccabaean Lectures in Jurisprudence
This lecture series was endowed by the Maccabaeans society to mark the tercentenary of the Jewish resettlement in England under Cromwell. The lecture was first delivered in 1956.

Philosophical Lectures
A bequest from Miss Henriette Hertz (d. 1913) established a fund that was intended both to support three lecture series, and more generally to enable the Academy to support scholarly research and publication. The Philosophical Lectures were one of the lecture series. The lecture was first delivered in 1914. From 1993 to 2001, the lectures were converted into a series of symposia. The series of single lectures was revived in 2015.

Aspects of Art Lectures
A bequest from Miss Henriette Hertz (d. 1913) established a fund that was intended both to support three lecture series, and more generally to enable the Academy to support scholarly research and publication. The Aspects of Art Lectures were one of the lecture series. They are intended to address some aspect of the relation of Art or Music to human culture. The lecture was first delivered in 1916.

Elie Kedourie Memorial Lectures
This lecture series was endowed through an appeal fund in memory of Elie Kedourie FBA. The lectures are intended to be on modern history and politics (with particular regard to Europe or the Middle East). The lecture was first delivered in 1996.

Raleigh Lectures on History
In 1918 (the tercentenary of Sir Walter Raleigh’s death), Sir Charles Wakefield offered the Academy a sum to form the nucleus of a ‘Raleigh Fund for History’, to support scholarly research and publication. One fruit of the endowment was the foundation of the Raleigh Lecture on History. The series rotates between medieval, early modern, and modern topics. The lecture was first delivered in 1919.

Sir John Rhys Memorial Lectures
In 1924 the Academy was given the proceeds of an appeal fund to set up a ‘memorial’ for the late Sir John Rhys FBA. The Academy decided that the memorial would take the form of a ‘lecture, or paper, or monograph on a Welsh or other Celtic theme’. The lecture was first delivered in 1925.

Sir Israel Gollancz Memorial Lectures
A bequest from Mrs Frida Mond (d. 1923) added to the English Language/Literature Fund she had begun in 1910, and provided for both a ‘lecture, or paper, or monograph’ and a prize on Anglo-Saxon and Early English Literature. The lecture was first delivered in 1924, and subsequently named after the Academy’s first Secretary, Sir Israel Gollancz.

Elsley Zeitlyn Lectures on Chinese Archaeology and Culture
This lecture series was endowed through a bequest from Miss Myrtle Henrietta Zeitlyn, in memory of her father Elsley Zeitlyn. The lectures are intended to promote understanding and appreciation of Chinese archaeology, art and music. The lecture was first delivered in 2001.

Albert Reckitt Archaeological Lectures
In 1950 the Academy was invited to take over the administration of the Reckitt Archaeological Trust (established by the late Mr Albert L Reckitt). As well as using the funds to support archaeological research, the Academy's Council also decided to establish a lecture. The lecture was first delivered in 1951.
