Jeannine Baker is a media historian and Co-Deputy Director of the Centre for Media History at Macquarie University, Australia. For the duration of her Visiting Fellowship she is hosted by University of Sussex.

Dr Jeannine Baker
During her time in the UK, Dr Baker will be working closely with Professor David Hendy and his team on the AHRC-funded ‘BBC Connected Histories’ project, which is bringing the BBC’s oral history collection into the public realm. Dr Baker's research focuses on Australian women at the BBC and gendered career pathways in broadcasting, particularly women working in technical positions.
