'Antisemitism, Racism, and the Left: International Perspectives'
Birkbeck, University of London
Jack Jacobs is Professor of Political Science at John Jay College and the Graduate Centre, City University of New York. While serving as a Visiting Fellow, he will conduct research on a project entitled “Antisemitism, Racism, and the Left: International Perspectives.”
Professor Jacobs’ intent is to study the degree, if any, to which recent relationships between the British Labour Party and much of British Jewry may be explained by reference to overarching, internationally evident trends, rather than local events and personalities. He will focus on the attitudes of contemporary British Jews towards the British Labour Party, and will organize a workshop on relevant themes, alongside colleagues associated with the Pears Institute for the Study of Antisemitism.
