The following resource provides an overview of entries for social sciences and humanities subjects at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels in Scotland since the introduction of new and revised qualifications at these levels in the mid-2010s. Since the introduction of these new and revised qualifications, entries for social sciences and humanities subjects have comprised between 37% and 40% of all National 5 entries, between 47% and 50% of all Higher entries, and between 31% and 34% of all Advanced Higher entries.
The first three graphs on this page depict overall National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher entry trends. The tables further below provide entries data for each social science and humanities subject included in this work.
