British Academy response to expansion of Exceptional Talent Visa route

In response to the Government’s announcement that it will expand the number of research fellowships eligible for accelerated entry under the UK’s Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa route, Professor Simon Goldhill, Foreign Secretary at the British Academy, said:

“This expanded route will be a boost for the UK's research base and indeed for the humanities and social sciences. Attracting and retaining a breadth of talented researchers from around the world allows the UK to pioneer new approaches and drive research excellence.
