British Academy introduces new grant-management system, Flexi-Grant®

9 Aug 2017

The British Academy is pleased to introduce Flexi-Grant®, a new online grant management system which goes live today.

Replacing e-GAP2, Flexi-Grant® is a modern and intuitive grants management solution, which will offer enhanced features and an improved user experience.

The UK’s four national academies, the British Academy, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society, now all use Flexi-Grant®, . It is hoped that this common system will make the funding application process easier for researchers working cross disciplines.

The new system goes live to all users today, 9 August.

Chief Executive of the Britsh Academy, Alun Evans, said: “Every year, the British Academy gives out nearly £40 million in awards to enable the most talented academics to pursue exciting research around the world. This system will make the application process easier and more intuitive, and will mean those working across disciplines do not need to get to grips with multiple systems as the four national academics now use Flexi-Grant®.

All active user accounts that already exist in e-GAP2 will be migrated to Flexi-Grant®, so users will be able to access the new system with their current details.
