British Academy Chief Executive welcomes the appointment of Sir Mark Walport as the first Chief Executive of UK Research and Innovation

Alun Evans, Chief Executive of the British Academy welcomes the appointment of Sir Mark Walport as the first Chief Executive of UK Research and Innovation.

He said: "The British Academy is delighted that Sir Mark Walport has been announced as Chief Executive of UK Research and Innovation. Mark will lead UKRI at a critical time for the UK, and is well-placed to be a unifying voice across all areas of research.
