British Academy Schools Language Awards

Awards for schools to encourage take up of languages to higher levels

For four consecutive years, we have run our Schools  Language Awards to support schools to deliver innovative, creative and  exciting projects, particularly to encourage take-up of languages at  GCSE and A-level.

The awards are split between mainstream and supplementary schools to ensure a bredth of languages and encourage take-up of community languages. The mainstream awards are further divided into seven regions: North, South East and South West, London, East and Midlands, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Inter-curricular projects and partnerships between  primary, secondary and supplementary schools, FE colleges and HEIs are encouraged.
