All the President's Men

This event is part of the British Academy's Behind The Camera series.

In June 1972, a burglary at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington DC triggered the ignominious end of Richard Nixon's presidency.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford star in Alan Pakula's masterly account of how Washington Post journalists Woodward and Bernstein laid bare this high-level conspiracy, aided by the revelations of their mysterious informant, 'Deep Throat'.

1975, 138 minutes, Cert. 15

Curated and introduced by:
Professor Ian Christie FBA, Birkbeck College, University of London.
