Dr. Isaac Baley is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from New York University and a Masters in Economic Theory from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
Dr. Baley's research has the objective to understand how agents behave in environments with uncertainty and the implications of their choices for macroeconomic outcomes, such as monetary policy, international trade and labour markets. During his Visiting Fellowship at the University of Bristol, Dr. Baley will work with Dr. Alireza Sepahsalari from University College London. In the project, they will study how the rise of new technologies and occupations creates a more uncertain labour market and analyse how workers adjust their behaviour to cope with these risks.
