On 18 November 2014, the British Academy hosted a showcase event that explored ‘The Social and Economic Benefits of Cultural Heritage’. The evening featured presentations by some of the British Academy-sponsored overseas institutes. This article is based on the presentation by Professor Bill Finlayson, Director of the Council for British Research in the Levant.
